Pacific Reef Sportfishing – Booking Terms & Conditions
By making a booking with Pacific Reef Sportfishing, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the following Terms & Conditions.
1. Bookings, Deposits & Payments
• All bookings require a deposit or full payment to secure dates.
• Deposits become non-refundable within 60 days of the scheduled trip start date.
• Cancellations made more than 60 days prior to the trip start date may be eligible for a credit, at the discretion of Pacific Reef Sportfishing.
• Final payment must be made prior to the commencement of the charter or package.
• All payments are non-refundable and non-transferable, unless agreed in writing.
2. Mandatory Travel Insurance
All guests are strongly advised and expected to purchase comprehensive travel insurance that includes:
• Trip Cancellation
• Trip Interruption
• Weather-related cancellations
• Coverage for pre-paid activities, including fishing charters
• Medical expenses and emergency evacuation
Guests are encouraged to consider Cancel-For-Any-Reason (CFAR) insurance for additional flexibility.
Pacific Reef Sportfishing does not provide refunds for cancellations caused by weather, mechanical issues, or other operational disruptions.
All claims must be made through the guest’s travel insurance provider.
3. Weather, Sea Conditions & Safety
Fishing charters operate in an open-ocean environment and are subject to weather and sea conditions.
Pacific Reef Sportfishing reserves the absolute right to cancel, delay, shorten, or reschedule any trip due to:
• Tropical cyclone watches or warnings
• Strong wind warnings
• Unsafe sea or weather conditions
• Any situation deemed unsafe by the skipper
All safety decisions are made at the sole discretion of the skipper and are final.
4. Mechanical Issues & Operational Interruptions
Pacific Reef Sportfishing shall not be held responsible for trip cancellations, delays, or interruptions caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:
• Mechanical or electrical failure of the vessel or equipment
• Breakdown or damage sustained before or during the charter
• Fuel supply issues
• Port, marine authority, or safety restrictions
• Medical emergencies involving guests or crew
• Any other operational or safety-related issue deemed necessary by the skipper
In such cases:
• No refunds will be issued
• No compensation will be provided for unused fishing time, accommodation, meals, or services
• Guests must seek reimbursement for all losses through their travel insurance provider
5. Weather-Related & Operational Cancellations – No Refund Policy
If a trip or fishing day is cancelled, delayed, shortened, or unable to proceed due to:
• Weather conditions
• Mechanical issues
• Safety or operational reasons
Then:
• No refunds will be issued
• No compensation will be provided for unused services
• Guests must pursue any claims through their travel insurance provider
6. Guest-Initiated Cancellations
• Cancellations within 60 days of the scheduled trip start date:
• All deposits and payments are forfeited
• No refunds will be issued
• Cancellations more than 60 days prior to the scheduled trip start date:
• May be eligible for a credit, subject to approval
• Credits are non-refundable, non-transferable, and subject to availability
7. Rescheduling & Credits
• Where possible, Pacific Reef Sportfishing may offer an alternative date, subject to availability.
• Any credit issued:
• Must be used within 12 months of the original booking date
• Is subject to seasonal availability and weather conditions
8. No-Shows & Early Termination
• Failure to arrive for a scheduled charter or early termination of a trip for any reason will result in forfeiture of all payments.
• No refunds or credits will be issued for missed or unused services.
9. Guest Responsibility & Assumption of Risk
Fishing charters involve inherent risks, including but not limited to rough seas, slippery surfaces, fishing equipment, and weather exposure.
By participating, guests acknowledge and accept these risks and agree that Pacific Reef Sportfishing is not liable for injury, illness, loss, or damage except where required by law.
10. Limitation of Liability
Pacific Reef Sportfishing accepts no responsibility for:
• Travel delays or cancellations
• Missed flights or connections
• Accommodation or transport costs
• Loss of holiday time
• Additional expenses incurred due to weather, mechanical issues, or unforeseen events
11. Agreement
By making a booking and submitting payment, you confirm that:
• You understand fishing is weather- and condition-dependent
• You accept the 60-day cancellation policy
• You accept the no-refund policy
• You agree to claim any losses through your travel insurance
• You release Pacific Reef Sportfishing from liability relating to weather-related or operational cancellations
12. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Vanuatu.
