Travel Insurance
We highly recommend that all guests take out travel insurance for their trips. In the event that a trip is cancelled or rescheduled due to unforeseen weather related circumstances, or any other unforeseen circumstances, we cannot accept responsibility for any loss of trip costs, airfares, lost holiday time or any other financial consequences as a result of the booking. We make every effort to conduct all trips on time and to the proposed itinerary, however we are unable to take you fishing in the event that a tropical cyclone warning or a strong wind warning is prevalent for all or part of your trip, in the event of any other natural disaster that prevents us from running your trip, or if wind speeds exceed safe operating standards.

Financial consequences of any fishing time that is missed and any travel connections or accommodation bookings that need to be changed as a result of these unforeseen weather events, is to be claimed on travel insurance. Cancellations are exceptionally rare, but we believe travel insurance is an important investment.

It is a condition of booking that you accept Pacific Reef Sportfishing will not be responsible if the service is not available due to inclement weather conditions or other acts of nature, civil disturbances, fire, floods, acts of Government or any other management authorities, accident to or failure of machinery or equipment or industrial action. Before taking any travel insurance from any company, please read the full product disclosure statement and be satisfied that the policy provides you with appropriate cover for deep sea fishing, as well as sufficient cancellation coverage for the trip and your travel expenses.

Package bookings requires a 50% deposit. Full payment / the balance is payable 60 days prior to your date of arrival. Canceling your booking will incur loss of your deposit. If cancelations are made where full payment has been received,a credit will be provided to enable you to reschedule for another time.

Alternate arrangements for cash payments on the day of booking can be made with direct correspondence with Pacific Reef Sportfishing.

You may nominate an alternative date if your trip has been cancelled by Pacific Reef Sportfishing

If a person becomes unwell and requests to be returned back to shore, then no refund will be given.

Pacific Reef Sportfishing will not be held liable for any indirect costs incurred by booking a fishing charter with us.

In the event the trip is cancelled at any time Pacific Reef Sportfishing will not be held liable for any travel costs, meals, accommodation or any other costs the customer may have incurred.
Pacific Reef Sportfishing will not be responsible for any loss, injury or damage incurred or suffered by the participant during the fishing trip, or in the event the adventure is cancelled or postponed for any reason whatsoever. Lost activities, pre booked accommodation, flights, meals, transfer services and cancelled programs due to an unforseen cancellation, weather or any unforseen circumstance will not be refundable entirely or in part. A refund is not available for any cancellations made after the departure date or in respect of any accommodation, meals, tours or any other services that are not utilised.
The Participant pledges that no legal action will be initiated by it against Pacific Reef Sportfishing its employees, instructors, and or personnel, due to any accident or injury sustained during the course of undertaking an adventure booked through Pacific Reef Sportfishing The Participants unconditionally agree to fully indemnify Pacific Reef Sportfishing and all its servants, agents, clients and employees against any injury, damage or accident that may be sustained by the Participants, whilst participating in adventures booked through Pacific Reef Sportfishing.
By paying your deposit, we understand you have read and agree with the terms and conditions outlined above.
Weather:

All charters are subject to suitable weather conditions (the decision is made at the discretion of the skipper) and we reserve the right to cancel any trip due to bad weather (even at short notice)

If inclement weather conditions prevail, it is up to the Skipper’s discretion as to whether the trip will proceed.

In an instance where the weather may turn unexpectedly it is at the discretion of the Skipper as to whether the boat will return to port.
Safety Brief:

A safety brief is given on board before departure.

All customers must declare any pre-existing medical conditions or any medication prior to booking and departure (as some people may require special attention).

We have the right to ask any customer to wear a life jacket at any time.

All children under 16 need to be accompanied by an adult (and they must wear a life jacket at all times).

Those who are unable to swim are asked to wear a life jacket at all times.
Customer Behaviour:

It is required that all customers behave in a safe and respectful manner to all staff, other customers and our property.

If we find that there has been loss or damage to our equipment or vessel due to negligence or unruly behaviour then the customer will be liable for replacement or repair of the item (funds will be taken from the credit card that is held for security).

The Skipper reserves the right to cancel a trip and payment forfeited if unruly or unsafe behaviour is displayed.
Alcohol:

Alcohol is allowed onboard the vessel, however responsible consumption of alcohol is to be adhered to.

The Skipper reserves the right to: refuse alcohol onboard if he deems it to be unsafe, refuse a passenger onboard the vessel if they are under the influence of alcohol and can cancel the trip with no refund.
